Laurens Hoedemaker DVM is a veterinarian by training; a lobbyist, advocate, association manager, president and board member by profession; and a hunter by choice. He is passionate about democracy, communication and fair policy making.

Mr. Hoedemaker is currently the president of the meat producers association (COV) and the meat processors association (VNV) in the Netherlands. He is also chairman of the Meat Industry Section and vice-president of the European Livestock and Meat Trades Union (UECBV) and chairman of the Supply Chain working group of the Liaison Centre for the Meat Processing Industry in the European Union (Clitravi).
